Deakin Studio

About

I am Jason Deakin. Deakin Studio is me.

I worked in Orlando vacation rentals before I built websites for a living. I know what a midnight check-in is, and an unheated pool in January, and a family of sixteen who need to know whether the house really is ten minutes from Disney. That is the business I design for.

That is why I do not sell templates. A nine-bedroom themed home in Windsor at Westside does not sell like an apartment: it needs big photography, clear capacity, the resort explained, and a price a family can understand before anyone writes an email. Multiply that by four hundred houses across nine resorts and it stops being a design problem and becomes a structural one — which is the actual job.

The companies I build for are the property managers of Orlando and Kissimmee — competing with Airbnb and Vrbo for guests who were searching for their houses in the first place, on websites built for a search landscape that has since changed underneath them. I know the houses and the resorts from the inside, which a generalist web agency does not, and I build for the way guests search now. That overlap is the whole business.

I work alone, deliberately: you talk to me from first call to launch, the price is fixed before we start, and so is the launch date.

What I believe

01

A guest should be able to book in two minutes, on a phone, at night, without calling anyone.

02

If the site does not show up in Google, it is an expensive brochure.

03

The build is not the product. The work that happens every month after it is.

04

I show the real numbers, even when there is only one client.

The fastest way to find out whether I can help is the free scorecard — a call works too, if you would rather talk first.
